Elisa Satjukow, born 1986 in Weimar/Germany, is a Ph.D. student at the University of Leipzig. She studied History of East and South-East Europe, Slavic Studies and Comparative Literature Studies in Leipzig, Volgograd and Belgrade. Her research interests are contemporary Russian and Balkans history, cultures of remembrance, and oral history. Currently she is a fellow in the program “Trajectories of Change” of the ZEIT-Stiftung Ebelin und Gerd Bucerius.
